Last week I posted a "what if" post concerning Hillary and the lead up to the 2012 Democratic nominating process. Have the war drums already started in the West Wing?

Hillary or Barry?
Tony Blankley is among the first to seriously discuss the possibility of Hillary in 2012. I agree it's a strong possibility. Here's how it might go down:
A few “Clinton insiders” like Ickes, Stephanopolis, Daschle, etc. begin asking questions about Obie’s ability to lead the party and start actively praising Hillary’s statesmanship as Sec State.
Bill begins to beat the drum about the off year 2010 election bloodbath, acting once again as Hillary’s surrogate attack dog, a role he relishes and excels at. Expect him to make fun of Barry’s stiff, wooden, teleprompterizin’ speeches...stuff like that...more of the veiled racism accusations too
Increasingly frequent negative Obama stories begin to circulate in the media…bad military morale, excessive indecision in the face of adversity, no mandate after the 2010 elections, out of control spending, taxes, economy, etc. etc.
An “October Surprise” gets leaked about Obie linking him to an unsavory story/event/individual.
Clintinites surface on the Sunday shows and daytime TV, bestowing praise on Hillary's leadership ability, her lack of involvement with Obama's domestic failures, and her “centrist” approach to solving the country’s problems
Stories begin to leak about “substantive policy differences” among the Cabinet, notably between Hillary and POTUS.
Several key Obama lemmings publicly defect: perhaps Emanuel, Ariana Huffington, Oprah, Olbermann, Caroline Kennedy, etc.
Hillary remains above fray, allowing her minions to knock the legs out from under the Administration
Hillary rides into the primaries publicly stating she's not running, supports her boss, and won’t accept the nomination unless it’s an overwhelming majority who want her to run, leaving the door open for her nomination.
A third candidate, about three shades left of Obama, emerges to spoil the Primaries…think a young version of Kucinich or a Jon Stewart or Al Franken….someone who can’t win but pulls the MTV/Rachel Maddow vote from Obama.
Hillary skips the early primaries, perhaps even half-heartedly campaigning for her boss while damning him with faint praise.
"Relenting,"Clinton enters the later primaries due to “overwhelming encouragement” from the Party, throwing the Obama machine into a defensive, un-Presidential flap.
At the DNC convention, early primary state delegates defect in droves based upon Hillary’s strengthening performance in the later contests.
Hillary wins the nomination in a runaway
Watch for it. All of this will quietly begin prior to the 2010 elections, probably in late Spring/early Summer, escalate in tenor and volume through 2011, and by early 2012 she’ll be actively “not” campaigning for the job.

Spin Baby, Spin
David Gregory, moderator of Meet the Press, on this morning's Today show said, in effect, Obama has created a wave of change in this country. Voters in VA and NJ were voting for change of the status quo.
Most of us took high school algebra and learned that if: A=B and B=C, then A=C.
So Bloom's twisted conclusion is, in essence, Obama gets to take credit for the races in VA and NJ (in a positive way). The Obama movement, if you will, continues to be at work creating change in our country. This is, therefore, validation of Obama's message and policies.
Oh bother. Well, I told you so.

Great Night for Virginia's GOP
Congratulations to the GOP leadership ticket who beat Deeds and Co. like a rented mule today.
Now for the other shoe....wait for it....wait for it....
Tomorrow Gibbsie and POTUS will throw Deeds and Corzine under the bus.
It's actually begun. While Obama remains cloistered in the White House disentangled from the fray, his surrogates are on TV yapping about what a poor candidate Corzine was, hamstrung by charges of corruption and failure to lower property taxes as promised....braying about how Deeds ran an ineffective campaign and did not fully embrace the proffered help from the White House until too late...bleating about how the elections were about local issues and don't reflect upon POTUS or the massive FUBAR that is Washington this year. Interestingly, and hypocritically, the same talking heads are bragging about how the race in NY's 23rd (since it looks like it's going the Dem's way) is all about Obama and voters' rejection of a "far right wing" conservative.
Watch for it tomorrow. The White House, either directly, or via proxy, will issue their proclamation that it's not their fault, not a reflection on Obama, not a rejection of the wackiness on the Hill.

This Could Change Everything
The Pelosi health care bill could change everything about the fundamental relationship between Government and the People. If passed, it will be virtually impossible to reverse or undo, and will forever make the People "beholding" to the Federal Government for the most basic of services and resources. This is why America is so opposed to this plan, and why emotions are running so high. We are at a crossroads in America. One path leads to liberty, responsibility, choice, and free markets; the other to a vassal state, entitlement, dependency, and the erosion or end of free markets.
Mike Pence gets it. This is worth your time.
